35. Law enforcement next!

The Umno supreme council decided to suspend Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Ahmad Ismail for three years from the party over his racial romps.

The prime reason for the suspension was that "the statement and actions of Ahmad had caused tension and raised objections and we view this seriously", said Umno president Abdullah Ahmad Badawi after an emergency supreme council meeting which lasted about three hours this afternoon.

However, in an immediate reaction, Ahmad reiterated that there was no reason for him to retract his remarks that likened the Chinese community here as ‘squatters'. He won't repent but will stick to his gun.

Let's put things in perspective.

Political misdeeds have been dealt with politically. Now, it's time for the enforcement of the civil law.

To date, there had been no less than six police reports filed throughout the country against Ahmad for his racial slur that hurt the Malaysian citizenry.

The Police and the Attorney-General should now prove to all Malaysians that this is a country submitted to the rule of law, that there aren't two sets of law - one for the Umnoputras, one for common folks like us.

Throw the book at Ahmad and deal with him with the full weight of law. He must comply.

Court of Public Opinion

Meanwhile, the court of public opinion seems to have taken things in motion.

An SMS has been circulating since yesterday urging people to stop patronising a petrol station which is owned by Ahmad Ismail's family. The station, under the Shell brand, is identified as the one located at Island Glades, Penang.

It cannot be missed as one drives out from the underpass heading along Green Lane towards George Town. It's located on the left of the road, in front of the Gembira Parade supermarket.

However, caring for factual accuracy, please confirm with Screenshots if the SMS is not correct.

Next, we need to find out the ring of real estate developers funding Ahmad Ismali's life support system all this while.

We need to unplug the gravy train that funds such anti-Malaysian diatribe that breeds racial conflicts.
